
Dessa Glasser is a Principal for FRG, responsible for the Data Advisory & Analytics practice. With over 25 years of experience, she has led the implementation of innovative solutions in risk, data, and analytics. She serves as an Independent Board Member of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. and is the Chair of the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF). Before joining FRG, she was a Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase, where she led the firmwide Capital Stress Testing Analytics team and later became the first Chief Data Officer for Asset & Wealth Management.
Prior to JPMorgan Chase, Dessa was the Deputy Director of the Office of Financial Research at the U.S. Treasury, where she implemented risk and analytics solutions for the Financial Stability Oversight Council. Her team played a key role in the U.S. participation in the global launch of the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI). She was also the first Chief Risk Officer for Bunge Ltd. and has held senior positions at Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, IBM, and KPMG. She began her career teaching at Rutgers University.
Dessa holds a B.S. from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from Fordham University, where she serves on the Board of Advisors for the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. She is a co-lead for EDM Council’s Women Data Professionals and has been recognized for her contributions with the U.S. Treasury Exceptional Service Award. She has been named a ‘Director to Watch’ by Directors & Boards, a Global Data Power Woman by CDO Magazine, and was the 2023 A-Team’s Industry Data Professional of the Year.
