Currently Group CFO at the German precision manufacturer, Physik Instrumente (PI), Beate van Loo-Born is a seasoned executive with experience in multiple industries including financial services, data and philanthropy spanning across Europe, Asia and the US. In the last 20 years she has held various leadership roles including serving as COO of the Swiss Stock Exchange's data business (SIX), as Head Strategic Programs at UBS and COO of a philanthropic start up in Climate Finance.

A believer in it paying forward, she serves on the Board of First Light Southwest, a domestic abuse first response organization, co-leads the Women Data Professionals Europe Chapter of the EDM Council and is a writer on the team at Forbes Councils. Through her work with the WDP, she finds great purpose in mentoring and inspiring women in the data industry to build a strong network of women that support each other unconditionally, always fostering a culture of inclusion and leadership. In her key notes and publications she talks about technology, leadership and sustainability. An avid supporter of climate change mitigation, she is writing a PhD on the effectiveness of systemic levers to increase private capital flows towards climate finance. She finds humility in long distance triathlon, stands for authenticity, integrity and getting things done.
